Based in East London, Plaistow is a district within the area of the London borough of Newham. Plaistow is home to a large amount of commercial and residential premises and is known for being a residential area. The area is home to basic shopping facilities mainly based on the barking road.

An attractive feature within the area is the large green space which is Plaistow Park which includes 9.5 acres along with the other smalls park within the area providing residents plenty to choose from. There are two leisure centres within the area, Newham Leisure Centre and Balaam Street Leisure Centre giving residents a large choice in activities and sports facilities. With Westfield not being too far away, this provides and offers plenty of restaurants and cafes to enjoy a variety of different food.

The area is ideal for families and first-time buyers who are looking for a quick and easy commute into London specifically the City and Canary Wharf. The two tube stations Plaistow and Upton Park are part of the District Line and the Hammersmith & City Line. Plaistow has a limited number of large supermarkets however it is just a bus ride away from Stratford where further amenities are available, including Westfield Stratford shopping centre.

Properties are averagely priced within the area being that little bit further from Stratford which makes it even more appealing to first-time buyers. Most of the properties are 2 – 3 bedrooms Victorian Terraced houses but there are also plenty of modern apartment blocks to choose from too. With the Olympic stadium not being too far from Plaistow, these areas have had a lot of money put in them making them more attractive and appealing.
